Top Tips on How to Get Rid of Cooking Smells:

-Neutralise unpleasant odours by adding in new scents. Vanilla, lemon, and vinegar are all natural solutions to unwanted cooking smells and just need to be left overnight on your kitchen counter. Fill a bowl with vinegar, or with sliced lemons in boiling water, or with cotton balls soaked in vanilla extract for an easy and effective treatment.

Potatoes not only taste great, but are naturally absorbent and can therefore act as a natural kitchen smell remover. Try placing diced potatoes with sea salt on top of your pots and pans, leaving for two hours to soak up any unwanted odours.

-Christmas is a time for feasting, and that favourite festive spice, cinnamon, can be used all-year round for treating bad kitchen smells. Preheat your oven at Gas Mark 4 and sprinkle some ground cinnamon on a baking tray. Bake for 20-30 minutes and then waft the tray around your house to fill the rooms with the scent. Alternatively, fill a pan with water and drop in some sticks of cinnamon. Bring to the boil and soon enough the spice will work its festive magic.

-A bad smell in a kitchen fridge is never pleasant. To deodorise your fridge, add a bowl of baking soda or sliced lemons in water to the middle shelf to soak up the smell and prevent it from seeping into your food.
